Aetna Introduces Teladoc for TX and FL Members
Effective Feb. 1, 2011, Aetna’s new Teladoc program is now available to all Texas and Florida members. Teladoc is a national network of board-certified physicians on call 24/7/365 who provide quality healthcare through the convenience of phone or online video consultations for members of any age. Teladoc physicians can diagnose, treat, and write prescriptions, when necessary, for routine medical conditions. The new program is a convenient, cost-effective alternative to hospital emergency rooms and urgent care clinics that can be accessed anywhere. Member cost sharing varies by plan – members pay either their PCP or Specialist copay in most cases.
