UnitedHealthcare Member Add-ons to Original Effective Date Changes
Effective March 19, the Employer eServices® eligibility portal will no longer allow a user to enroll a member
back to the customer’s original effective date for PRIME groups sized 2 – 50 (excluding Medica and migration
groups).
If the transaction is attempted after March 19, a message will be sent to users informing them that they are
not able to complete an enrollment back to the policy’s original effective date via the portal, and that they
should fax/mail a paper enrollment form to complete the transaction. The submission of paper enrollment forms
allows us to appropriately verify the individual’s eligibility prior to enrollment.
Users who wish to complete an enrollment back to the customer’s original effective date will need to reference
and use the enrollment form, mailing address and/or fax number provided in their enrollment kit.
