UnitedHealthcare’s Preventive Care Online Tools
UnitedHealthcare introduces a new web-based tool that provides age and gender-specific preventive care
recommendations that will allow you to help manage your health.
Preventive Care Guidelines Website Tool
Maintaining or improving the health of UnitedHealthcare members is important, and the new health care reform
requirements for 100 percent coverage on preventive care services will enable members to more easily obtain these
services and stay healthy. Routine checkups and screenings can help avoid serious health problems, and knowing and
obtaining age-appropriate preventive care services and screenings will allow members to work with their doctors to
manage their overall health and reach their personal health and wellness goals.
UnitedHealthcare’s new online Preventive Care Guidelines website tool allows members to view and download the
health guidelines and recommendations specific to their age and gender. This Web-based tool will allow each member
to review the age-specific preventive care recommendations, as determined by the U.S. Preventive Care Services Task
Force, which will allow them to manage their health, prevent and detect health issues in their early stages and live
healthier lives. In addition, helping members avoid any serious issues can help improve their overall health and
potentially lower out-of-pocket costs.

Members can view and download their specific preventive guideline recommendations at
www.uhcpreventivecare.com and use these to work with their doctor to
make informed medical decisions for their lifestyles and daily habits. The new Preventive Care Guidelines can be
viewed, downloaded and e-mailed on the new website. The website also provides useful health tips, tools and
resources to support overall health. In addition, UnitedHealthcare has created several new communication tools to
help promote the website and support the preventive care guidelines message.
