Aetna Prescreen Changes
Aetna will no longer accept Generic or General Prescreens* on cases with 3
enrolling lives or less effective October 1st 2009. If underwriting receives a
generic/general prescreen request for a 3 life or less group, a standard quote
with no rate up will be provided. The group will still be subject to
underwriting once the questionnaires have been received. Please note that these
changes do not affect Aetna Questionnaire Prescreens or groups with 4 enrolling lives or more.
*Generic or General Prescreens are requests that are received in some form other than Aetna's medical questionnaire or an approved
competitor's questionnaire.
